CAPADOCCIA: We enjoyed walking around the Agzikarahan Caravansaray (Kervanseray), a stopping point for merchants on the old Silk Route where caravans would settle down for extended periods, engaging in trade. Smaller caravansarays were sprinkled a day's journey apart all along the route, punctuated periodically by these more impressive fortified trading centers. The carved door is handsome, and we admired the soaring vaults inside; but there's not much to see here unless you want to spend time in the carpet shop.
